Here’s your weekly recipe! Enjoy!

Prime Time Meats in Milford has center cut bone in ham steaks on special this week, just three sixty nine a pound.  Pick some up and try this delicious spiced ham steak.  For 4 servings, you’ll need one pound.  Pan fry the ham steaks for 4 minutes on each side, or until lightly browned, then drain.  In a sauce pan, combine a quarter cup of orange marmalade, 2 tablespoons water, 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, 1 tablespoon mustard, 1 teaspoon corn syrup, and one quarter teaspoon ground ginger.  Bring that mixture to a boil.  Spoon the mixture over the ham and cook for 1 to 2 minutes more, or until heated through.  Serve and enjoy.

It’s been awhile since we last chatted.  Bob O likes to sit at my desk and eat his lunch when I’m not here. Well, in doing so, the he got crumbs all over the keyboard and blew out the whole thing. Yeah, whatta card!! So we’re back…fixed and all! He’s such a “bob o.”

Speaking of food. and we ALWAYS do, check out this recipe from Prime Time Meats! The Easter season is here.  If you’re observing Lent, try this simple and tasty baked Salmon. 

BAKED SALMON:  For 4 servings, you’ll need four 6 ounce salmon filets from Prime Time Meats.  You’ll marinate the salmon with 4 cloves of garlic, 12 tablespoons light olive oil, 2 tablespoons each of lemon juice and chopped fresh parsley, and 2 teaspoons each dried basil, salt, and ground black pepper.  Marinate the salmon in the fridge for about an hour, turning occasionally.  Then place the filets in foil, cover with the remaining marinade, seal the foil, and place the pack in a glass baking dish.  Bake at three seventy five for thirty five to forty five minutes, until easily flaked with a fork.   Stop by Prime Time Meats to pick out your salmon filets.  Remember, for lunch or dinner, when it’s time to eat, it’s Prime Time Meats in the Prime Time Plaza off Route 6 & 209 in Milford.

Hey check this out… this is really, really cool…”Holiday Mail for Heroes!”  For the 4th year in a row Pitney Bowes and the American Red Cross are collecting cards from the public to distribute to U.S. Military Service Members, veterans and their families across the country and abroad this holiday season!!
